As an independent actor, Aidan Jones has appeared in a variety of roles on both stage and screen.
Notable stage roles include Don Magnifico in the 2023 UW-Superior production of Rossini’s opera La Cenerentola, and El Gallo in The Fantasticks, for which he was awarded the 2021-22 award for Outstanding Performance in a Musical by the UW-Superior Department of Communicating Arts. While at UW-Superior, he played Prison Warden Frank in the 2021 production of Johann Strauss’s operetta Die Fledermaus, and also appeared in the 2023 Opera Workshop scenes. Recent stage experience includes being a member of the chorus in Sophocles’ Greek tragedy Ajax, and participating in the 2024 Opera Workshop performances at Hillsdale College.
In addition to his work on the stage, Jones has also appeared in multiple short films. He played a leading role in Mary Bowen’s 2024 proof-of-concept short Fabiola, and voiced supporting characters in the Saints Alive Podcast’s episodes on Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. He also played the lead in Thomas Noack’s experimental short film Searching (2023), a supporting role in Noack’s Kingfall (2024), and will appear as an extra in Shall We? directed by Yaozhu (Charlie) Cheng and Grace Bryant (2025).
